I bought a little Scion this weekend! DUMPED the Explorer!!!YAYAYAYAYAYAY!

It's so cute and fast and uses so little gas and ahs a/c and power windows and rocking stereo and 4 doors and a hatchback and is just a little GO-GO CAR!!!!

Love it! I feel better having such a little vehicle! AND it only cost $13,000 out the door!!!!

The interior is HUGE, very spacious, plenty of room... very very well rated on edmunds, that's what sold me, that and a friend bought the boxy one and loves it.

I feel VERY european now!!!!

7. oh YES! the BF has dubbed the new one "WWWWEEE" too....
WWWWEEE is the plate on the miata of course.

The truck was moldering un-used in the driveway, and I was putting a quart of oil into it every WEEK. (Bad gasket) and we won't even talk about the electric problems!

4. Scion! (did you check out the Insight?)
My roommate's cousin has one and it sounds amazing! Did you check out the Honda Insight before buying your car?

Both are in the same category I guess. Good for you in dumping your Explorer! :) Too bad we can't make more americans to dump their bloated SUVs and buy hybrids. :P

Are you getting the 50MPG they advertise?

5. Scions aren't hybrids

But they get good mileage nonetheless.

I'm thinking of dumping the Beemer for one.

6. Scion makes a hybrid as well, but I know the technology they're applying,
and I wasn't impressed.

The XA gets 32 - 37 mpg, and I'm monitoring it now... Sure beats the 12 - 18 I was getting on the truck!

I appreciate true electric cars. I feel the hybrids with the electric generating brakes just aren't worth all the hype. I'm very VERY familiar with EVs, having managed several EV fleet purchases. Plus, I just didn't like the car, it was larger than I wanted.

I also have a mazda miata that is my fun in the sun, wooo hooo "WWWWEEE" car...
