Common things that you never ate until you were an adult
My husband never ate Chineses food until he was an adult and now loves it. He never had eaten it because his mother hated it and commented many times about how bad it was.
I had never eaten beef jerky until I was an adult. My mother said that it was unhealthy, which is true to a small extent. My husband eats it so I tried some. I'll snack on it if he has it in the car on a road trip. I think the texture is rather odd. I'd much rather have non dehydrated meat.

4. The usual stuff
Liver & onions, broccoli, cauliflower... there's something to be said for a mature palate.

Also, the first wife taught me to eat something I never enjoyed eating before... and all the ladies who followed her have praised her for it. ;)

16. Eating liver being one of them paper boy?
Edited on Mon Jun-28-04 05:08 PM by Sequoia
I will NEVER, EVER eat that meat again. I had to eat it every Wednesday for dinner (supper) as a kid right before church and to smell it now sends me into a frenzy. As does going to Church, heh, heh!

19. Liver is goooood
Properly prepared, liver is a delight!

However, red snapper, improperly prepared, ruins the whole night.

9. I used to hate Chinese food
because my dad always brought home this disgusting dish called "Triple Delight". I think it was shrimp, chicken and beef mixed together, and it smelled exactly like BO. I actually had to leave the house when they ate it. Of course I eventually discovered that the quality of Chinese food varies from 'pure crap' to 'pure heaven', and now I'm a huge fan. It's easily my favorite foreign food.

never had Pizza till I was 17 and a Pizza Hut opened up in town. Didn't serve beer then because it was a "dry county".
