The corn-blasting started yesterday. The results are unbelievable!

The exterior of the log house I bought last September was severely distressed. It had been neglected for over 10 years in a rather harsh climate. That, however, was factored into the price we paid.

My crew started the prep a couple of weeks ago, but ended up blasting just yesterday. The exterior of the 8x8 square, white-pine logs now looks like new-cut timber. It is unbelievable. Once the corn-blasting (the product is bio-degradable corn huskings and looks like grits or corn meal) is finished, they will paint with Wood-Guard.

I'm taking "before and after" pics. Maybe I can Scan them in and post them. It really is an amazing process!

gorgeous results. I'm sorry that house didn't work out for us, trying to sell it now.

What was the name of the co. that did your house, by the way? OUr company was Woody's (how appropriate). They said they travel all over the US.

boy nuthin like professional decorating. Our place sure don't look like that...we are decoratorly challenged. (IOW, our place looks like crap, no matter where we live.)
