Has anyone ever used the net to find a old friend...
... who has dropped off the face of the earth.

I was thinking about one of my old friends from high school the other day and I would like to get in contact with her, but I have no idea how to do it. I have tried the simple people searches with no results. Last I heard she has went on a kind of sojourn out west so I would have no idea where to even start looking.

Any advice?

1. try their parents
It's amazing how many of my high school friends parents STILL live where they did when I was in school. Or contact the school for the reunion committee, and the committee might be able to put you in touch.

you can check classmates.com to see if the person is listed for free, but if they are listed, you have to join to send an e-mail

3. I tried them...
...they didn't know either. They don't have the closest relationship.

2. Try Classmates.com
The person that you are looking for might be looking for you.

4. I used classmates.com and
found and spoke to 6 members of my HS class that I hadn't spoken to in 35 years...I graduated in'67. The only drawback w/ classmates is a fee to join.

6. I had a couple people contact me from classmates.
I was nice and sent a little e-mail back. I never have though. Not interested in most of them.

7. If she went to college
Colleges often are very adept at keeping track of alumni. Contact them or they may even publish a volume on the name address and occupation of every grad. Mine does!

8. Yeah, and boy, did *I* get a big surprise....
Cute, tall, stacked brunette I worked with and dated for a while until she decided I wasn't "bad" enough to keep her excited (Damn, I shoulda fucked her on the second date when she offered!)....

Anyway, 20 years later and I get to wondering of I might find her on the web. Sure 'nuff....She's an "Evangelist" now!

Hope it wasn't something I didn't do!

12. I didn't but a friend of mine did...
She used classmates.com and located some friends from our high school group that neither she nor I had talked with for 30+ years. We went to high school in Metairie (a suburb of New Orleans). We out-of-towners plus the rest of our group that had stayed in New Orleans got together for a reunion in the year we all turned 50. It was really something.

13. I've had surprise emails from old friends
Always a nice surprise. The folks never really kept up correspondence once I replied, though. Maybe they were uncomfortable when I mentioned I'm now in the sex trade, a member of the NRA, and a dedicated freeper.

14. I used classmates.com
Found my HS flame after 22 years. We have been emailing and messaging for 2 1/2 years now, with an occasional lunch with her mom when she comes to visit. She is my bestest bud!

There is also reunion.com and a couple of others. There's also a site called net detective that is pretty good, for a fee.
