"A Face In The Crowd" is coming on Turner Classic Movies
It was the first film that decried the corruption inherent in corporate and/or government control of of the public airwaves.

Watch it, grow up, get wise and be a real human.

That would be 1:00 Central Daylight Savings Time.

If you don't watch this, I swear.

4. young Martin Sheen was in a good movie with young Sissy Spacek
Can't remember the name of it, but Martin and Sissy went on a killing spree.

8. "Badlands" was excellent, and Martin Sheen was very James Deanish.
A cult movie, like Harold and Maude, O Lucky Man, and so on.

2. I agree with you, TWOM
Andy Griffith and Patricia O'Neal are magnificent! Especially when Andy rejects the corporate sponsorship and nails Pat. Not that the particular scene has anything to do with the corruption that is raping America today.

5. I Disagree With You, TWOM
The character Andy Griffith portrays is so used to sleeping on the ground or on jail floors, he ridicules the matress company that decides to sponsor his show. That is a key scene in movie history, regardless of on what Andy nails Pat.

The movie is a little fast-paced but, nonetheless, classic, since it clearly delineates the evils of corporate control of the TV and radio.
