Apple makes fun of Longhorn

At its Worldwide Developers Conference, Apple has taken a rather large shot at Microsoft's Longhorn, the next major release of Windows. In its boldest move to date, Apple is displaying several banners for Mac OS X 10.4 "Tiger" at the Moscone Center in San Francisco that make it quite clear the company's feelings toward Microsoft and the software giant's upcoming operating system. The banners, which are the first known items that show the new Tiger graphics, read: "Introducing Longhorn." "Redmond, start your photocopiers." "This should keep Redmond busy." and "Redmond, we have a problem."

1. watch the keynote video replay
this isone of the biggest advances for Mac OS X--the Spotlight search will be really be useful, as I would love t be able to search my entire hard drive for specific files I might have forgotten about months ago. Automator is way cool--I can see myself making photo dvds with it alot, the Dashboard :bounce: one button and you can see your clanedar, stock quotes, time on seevral nice clocks, address book, iCal appointments, and I'm sure weather and even sports updates! The new video codecs will be built into HD DVD, and Tiger will have t built in from the get go.

Best of all, Tiger will be out the first half of 2005. So that's more than enough tie for people to start saving for new Macs and/or video card upgrades. By then I'm sure aniMac G5 model will be out.

And that 30 inch HD display :wow: ..words can't do it justice!!
