Anyone knowledgeable about BitTorrent?

I downloaded a video file, and it shows up as a folder with many smaller files. There are two folders, each containing smaller files with endings such as *.r00, *.r01, and so on. File size of each is 14,649 MB. There are also two .nfo files as well.

And, inside each of the two folders, there is a .RAR file that shows up as a zipped folder.

Just wondering, what do I do with all of this?

How do I open a downloaded torrent file?

1. That's not an issue with BitTorrent

it's an issue with the files you downloaded...

Haven't seen any of those in a while.

Winrar and a number of other tools should be able to extract the data.

3. People who use bittorrent often dont know what to do with the files...

its a common, theme, I get stricken by it too...but thats not bittorrents fault.

in your case, what you have is a .rar file thats been split... You need "winrar", once you get that, open the .rar file (keep the .r** in the same dir as the .rar) and winrar should automatically put the pieces together and extract.

you can burn anything to a cd so long as its <700MB. Whether its VCD compatible, I cant tell you.

6. If the torrent you downloaded is what I'm guessing you downloaded

then yes winrar will extract it, and yes it will burn as a VCD. If it's what I'm guessing it is, I've tested it and it works finee.

Which file do I burn? I use Roxio. Doesn't give an option for VCD, so can I burn as a data CD or music CD.

just various files and folders?

If .cue and .bin, you should be able to burn as image (I'm not extremely familiar with the Roxio software, I use Nero).

If it gave you a bunch of other folders and files, you should be able to burn as a data CD.

9. Roxio is a coaster factory. Get Nero!

Nero is the best CD burning software available. Easy CD Creator was alright when Adaptec made it (up through version 4), but Roxio really killed the program.
