WAIT A MINUTE: I FOUND A WAY TO MAKE BUSH SERVE IN IRAQ!!!!
WOW!!!!! I figured it out!!

http://www.cnn.com/2004/US/06/29/pentagon.reserves/index.html

According to the article:

The Pentagon has about 118,000 such troops, former enlisted soldiers who served less than eight years on active duty or officers who did not resign their commission.

Now we know Bush didn't even complete his entire term with the Texas National Guard. Doesn't that mean Bush could be called up for active duty? Let him finish off the time he didn't complete the first time he served? I think it's only fair. I mean, if Bush is willing to serve out a complete 8 years I think it would inspire these other folks who are getting shipped off to iraq

What do you think!!!

2. Better him than my brother
who served in the first gulf war and can't have kids now. If my bro gets one of those call-up letters he'll Cheney Dick Rumsfeld with a big old "Go F__k Yourself."

3. The commander in chief is allowed to serve in the field
George Washington personally led a force to put down the Whiskey Rebellion in 1794.

And of course, Bill Pullman played the president in Independence Day and personally flew a fighter jet in the counterattack against the aliens.

5. Sadly, no....
Despite an obviously checkered career in the ANG, Bush received an honorable discharge in 1974, and the small remainder of his time required was served on inactive reserve status. His obligation, technically, is complete. On active reserve or inactive reserve, he met his 6-1/2 year commitment (the additional half year is because he guaranteed five years active reserve service in November, 1969, when he went on flight status).

No matter that he actually served about half of his real requirement, the records show the honorable discharge and transfer to inactive status.

6. Hmmm.
While the irony is delicious, I wouldn't want to put the other soldiers in his squad in danger like that. I mean. . . would YOU trust Dubya to cover you as you ran across a city street in the middle of an urban firefight?

7. I wouldn't trust him to
watch my bike while I ran across the street to get ice cream.
