An excerpt from my website:
Potassium Citrate is a processed form of the mineral potassium. It's better to get potassium from real food. Indeed, if you have certain health conditions such as kidney disease, chronic diarrhea, an ulcer, intestinal blockage, or taking certain diuretics, this drink is probably not for you.
Acesulfame potassium is the only other ingredient that is unique to C2's composition. I looked this one up. It is a non-caloric sweetener. Just another form of chemical sweeteners whose taste stimulates the brain to tell the liver to produce more insulin, which in turn also tells the body to eat more because it's not getting the sugar it's expecting. Oh, most of these artificial sweetening agents are also known to cause cancer. But we're all going to snuff it eventually, so drink on up! Coca-Cola Company needs your money. :-)
