Does your snoring bother people?
I think mine does, but most of the time, I am asleep at the time.

I hear I rattle windows and almost could shatter wooden doors.

Do you snore? Does it bother people?

4. I've been told I'm quite the snorer
It's not been an issue lately, but I suppose I should make it public now: I have sinus issues, and I snore.:(

6. Have you never woken up with a start and said
WHAT THE HELL!!!!!

And then turned over and.....................zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

It could be a sign of you know what. That which shall not be named.

Maybe it could be spelled though!

No.

Not even that. It's hideous.

8. I've lived with the king of the snorers
for over 30 years. Last night our 11 year old couldn't get to sleep because she thought she heard the garbage disposal malfunctioning and making hideous noises in the kitchen. Turns out she was listening to her dad's snoring across the hall through two sets of closed doors.

I learned the joys of sleeping on the living room sofa long ago.

9. My wife isn't as bothered by my snoring as she is my.....
huge, window rattling nocturnal farts. Sometimes they even wake me up.

10. Bwaahhhaaaa
Reminds me of when my girlfriend, in her deepest sleep, let one rip. This is only significant in that she would pass out from embarrassment if I ever heard one when she was conscious. Needless to say, I married that woman. Still waiting to hear her play me a "tune"; something to her dismay I do regularly.

Oh... on the subject of the thread... I am among those afflicted with the profound nocturnal nasal din.

11. My boyfriend snores a bit
In general it doesn't bother me at all. Though there has been that rare ocasion I had to wake him up so he would quiet down a bit.

Normally it isn't all that load and it comforts me somehow. If I don't hear him I actually do get a little concerned.

12. apparently so
though I recently roomed with a good friend of mine on a road trip

and he DID shatter windows, doors, glasses of water on my night stand . . .

I think he causes a glitch in the earthquake measuring machines at the USGS.

13. I used to but I'm pretty sure it's gotten better.
I find if I sleep on my back, I snore; if I sleep on my side, I don't.

On a side note, am I the only one that thinks it's really rude to tell someone they snore? It's not like they can do anything about it and you're just making them really self-conscious about it. After years of trying to keep myself awake until I was sure all around me were asleep, I just said fuck it. Now, if someone tells me I snore I tell them the same- even if it isn't true.

17. Often there IS something that a person can do
snoring is almost always an airway obstruction of some sort. Doctors can help with that through treatment with CPAP, removal of adnoids, removal of loose flesh in the back of the throat.

There's even a new surgery that will put small stints into the soft palate so that it remains stiff and doesn't rattle when you sleep.

19. Used to. This cheap fix works for me.

Breath EZ is a revolutionary device that stimulates the septum to improve the flow of air through the nose. It can be used day or night to keep nasal passages open and make breathing easier. It also encourages sound, restful sleep since it helps relieve nasal congestion, hard breathing and snoring. Simply insert the comfortable U-shaped device into nostrils until it rests gently on the septum.
