1. Morning
What's bothering you? Anything DU can help with :)

Life is good this morning. The Tube workers are on strike in London, so the office is quiet, and it is a Sunny summers day, perfect for walking. And my daughter didn't wake up until 5:50 am, and only had one major strop before nursery.

2. Ah, I'm sure it will be fine.
Hopefully *keeping fingers crossed*. It's just work and dealing with me not being able to be here the day I was scheduled to come back.

Glad to hear that things are going good for you this morning! Hope it continues throughout the day!

that will be forgotten very soon. What sort of work do you do?

4. I hope so.
I've been here for 2 years and I honestly value and need my job.

I work at an after hours department for a homehealth and hospice agency. Basically, we page nurses for patients whenever they call us. :) What about you?

5. I'm glad
You do what I would call a worthy job. It makes you seem even better :-) Even better that you value it ( I hope that means enjoy as well).

I work in IT, looking after just about everything from Mobile phones to Network servers ( don't switch off yet ;-) ). I've been working here for 2.5 years, and like you I value my job. I used to be a corporate IT whore, but I got laid off and I took the opportunity to travel. When I came back I took the decision to work in a worthwhile sector. It took ages to get a job that I wanted, because charities etc kept suggesting by Corp background was not compatible! But then I got this job working for a company promoting Energy Efficiency. I was (and am ) so happy, even if the pay was (and is still) rubbish.

8. Why, thank you!
Glad to see that you approve! :D And I do enjoy it, it's just (like any other job) stressful at times.

Sorry to hear about you getting laid off, but it sounds like you're happy with the outcome. Just goes to prove that everything happens for a reason. :) Rubbish? hehe, I haven't heard that said in a long time!

17. Don't be sorry about me being laid off
I requested it at the time ( once I knew I had a choice ). I had wanted to travel for a long time, and it was the ideal opportunity.

On another subject, how should I use my 400th post. Coming up very very soon?

That's really awesome. I've always wanted to be able to travel like that. You're really lucky.

and I'm not sure. I'm having problems trying to figure out what to do for my 3000 post.

I'll dedicate it to my favourite post this afternoon I think. Or I could give it to you ;-) Mind you at 300 I missed it by accident, so that's what will probably happen again.

6. G'day, Blondie!
:hi: Annoyed already? And it's so early. And it rained here--again!

Played and won team trivia last night, broke the losing streak.

Are we having fun yet? Are you back on your training schedule?

10. Hey hey!
It is early, but you know, that's how it goes. :D Even you don't need me to tell you that! How's work?

Heck yeah! That's awesome! CONGRATS!!

No fun yet and definitely not back on my training schedule. I'm kinda in a BLAH mood. Didn't really get too much sleep this weekend so my body is pretty much drained right now. How about you, what's on the schedule for today?

14. For today...
for me and for you, coffee has no calories. Stayed out too late with my brother last night.

Reading all I didn't want to know about TCP/IP protocols, oh, fun!

I may feel like working out later. It may be a taichi workout. Hoping that the weekend won't be a washout, literally.

Of course, no doughnut for you, training girl! :P

:D I feel like a big slob!

Stayed out too late, huh? What did you guys get into?
haha, man, I'm glad I don't have to do your job this morning! I'd be asleep for sure!

Okay, explain for the idiot what taichi involves. :( And seriously, I hope it doesn't rain on you this weekend. That really sucks!

19. Meditation in motion
is the easiest way to describe it. It's the slow movements that you see old Chinese men practicing in the documentaries. It's excellent exercise for the mind and body. It's also a martial art, and is practiced as such in China. I've been training with my teacher for several years.

It sounds like it takes a lot of coordination though. So yeah, I won't be trying that out anytime soon.

No running today?

23. Everyone can practice taichi
You'd start with the basics and go on from there. The coordination comes with time and practice.

If the weather doesn't improve, which is likely, I may do the cardio step and stay inside.

27. The long weekend
The home soccer team plays here on Sunday. My friend wants to come to town to watch the Euro Championship final, but I don't want to pay the cover, stand for 2 hours, and be uncomfortable. I'll try to talk him into going to the home game. I may get a cookout invite, but the weather still isn't cooperating.

My wife leaves for a small vacation tomorrow with some of her girl friends to Canada so it would be nice to spend the day at home with her and the kids. (She is going without husband AND kids)
