I'm a Photoshop dumbass.........................

There. I've said it.

I always see a bunch of really well-done photoshops of the Chimpster and co. that y'all do and I would like to contribute. Unfortunately, I can't seem to muddle through the nuts -n- bolts of PS7. Can anybody recommend a good site or book that would cater to a n00b like me?

Eventually I'd like to put together some Flash animations, a la Mopaul, symbolman and the like. However, I guess I gotta walk before I can stagger.

Any help?

2. It's not easy to teach yourself photoshop

I've been working with it for a couple of years and I still don't know half of what I can do with it. You might want to take a course. Your best deal would be one offered by you local school's Continuing Education program.

4. There's a far EASIER (and cheaper!) program called...

Sierra Print Artist Photo Expert which is a tenth of the cost (less!) a Hell of a lot easier, faster and IMHO better!

Yes, Photoshop has the bells and whistles a professional would use, but for the average Joe, Photo expert is as much as most folks need.
