I can only imagine the frustration, the fear, the shame/guilt of this hidden status. Is this one of the reasons they are Angry? Taking out their frustrations on the rest of Society including their own friends and family?

It must be Horrible to live in that small closet, full of boogeymans. That their own Party denounces Gayness and the marriage issue.

2. I have a friend who is a 'mostly' closeted repub gay man...

out only to his closest friends. In addition, he's Catholic.
Yipes, talk about rejection.

He said after bush* came out publicly in favor of the discrimination amendment to the constitution that he would not vote for him again.
(He is equally pissed that he has run up deficits as far as the Hubble telescope can see...he's a fiscal conservative.)

I am not sure that translates to a vote FOR Kerry, or just not a vote for Bush.
