silliest thing ever happened to you
curious, the following isnt the silliest ever but its recent and its up there. Ok, so Ive been shaving for about a year or so now, I am nearly 17, I would always have a hard time getting all that excess hair off my face and all, recently I got a Mach 3 which btw fucking rocks, so I realized hey I get the face hair off easier with this thing, then I found out that I had been using cheap ass woman's leg shavers to shave my face, and I hadnt been told of it!

1. i was walking down the street downtown
colorado springs and realized from the way the three guys walking towards me were looking me up and down they were gonna make some remark i wasn't in the mood for so i reached in my purse to pull out my mace and accidentally sprayed myself in the face! it happened right in front of a car dealership and a couple of people came running out to help the screaming maniac - me. the three guys got a great laugh out of it.....

2. You know the word 'misled'?
Edited on Wed Jun-30-04 05:10 PM by jpgray
I read it as mye-zulled for the longest time as a kid--thought it was some form of the nonexistent verb 'to misle'. Apparently I believed I had just not come upon misled yet in written form. :silly:

3. omg we must be mental twins
because i used to always pronounce it mye-zled too and got the strangest looks for it. maybe we had the same grade school teacher who pronounced it like that. surely we're too smart to have made that up all on our own.....!!!!! did you grow up in florida?

4. Me too!
Although I thought it was mizz-led (like muzzled). I seem to recall that I learned it correctly after a junior high school read-out-loud-in-class session, but I've almost successfully blocked that memory.

I still remember my relief from a similar session in history class, when I was about to pronounce the ship name Leopard to sound like leotard - fortunately someone else was called on before I got to that paragraph...

5. Uh...John?
Since you're shaving now, I guess it's time you know.
Guys call face hair "whiskers".
Yep, I just shaved with a Mach 3 and it's SMOOOOOTH.
;-)
