My bookgroup is a bunch of weenies
They won't read anything of substance, and even though I really like the folks, I'm thinking of dropping out. I've never been much of a joiner anyway. On the other hand, I don't have a lot of social interaction so maybe I should just hang in there. I dunno.

1. Maybe they aren't major readers......
and just enjoy the social interaction. I don't know, maybe stay in longer and and who knows what other interests people have.....could start another club or meet a really good friend. :)

just a suggestion. :)

either, see if there is a great books program (based on Adler's program) around for you to join, or start yourself at the library!

3. LOL, what do you read?
Most of the others in my book group seem to choose their books by trolling the best seller shelves, or from the NYT book reviews! Completely unoriginal! Front runners. I have a terrible time even getting my books on the list. This year they actually put one of my books on the list and then our Book Nazi tricked me and took it off the list (she asked if I would swap months and I said sure, only she didn't say I was switching it to THE TWELFTH OF NEVER.)

By the way, the book is "Savage Beauty" by Nancy Milford, a biography of Edna St. Vincent Millay, and I have no idea why she is so opposed to it.
