Why do you people keep going to see "The Villiage"?
It obviously sucks! There have been countless posts about how •bad• it is. I'm on a roll with the *attention* (getters) today!

2. I haven't gone to see it.
"Signs" wasn't as much of a letdown as "Unbreakable", but I'm totally over Shyamalama-ding-dong's tired schtick.

5. And if the aliens hate water... why were they in a f*cking CORN FIELD?
If you know about corn, you know it practicaly drips water. Corn fields are *wet*.

7. Signs is one of the greatest movies ever
Horror without blood = talent.

The Village, though, just plain sucked.

14. Terrible ending. Overall a B.
You could tell what he wanted from the ending, but it just didn't deliver.

That said, it wasn't about the ending, but how you get there. Parts of the movie were fantastic. The cornfield, the video of the child's birthday party in Latin America, being trapped in the house, knowing something is trying to get in but not being able to do anything about it. It's like he filmed a nightmare.

You can't complain about things like water, and navigation systems. If you're going to have a movie about aliens invading the earth, you can't complain about scientific inaccuracies.

13. I'm with you, ender, I thought Signs was horrible...
- why would super-smart aliens who cannot tolerate water come to a planet made up of over 75% water?

And beating the alien to death with a baseball bat, the wannabe baseball star reinvented?

I know some people really liked it, and I'm not trying to be rude, but Signs is on my all-time-awful movies, too.

To each his own, I guess.

3. Well I heard it is bad...

and that you can figure out the scary things within the first 10 minutes of the movie. I will wait for DVD. I do not particularily care for his movies, except for the Sixth Sense. He is a young director who wants to be the next Alfred Hitchcock, sorry, but no.

This one, I will pass on.

9. It's one of those films that you think initially sucks
And gets better when you discuss it with someone. It's a total bait-and-switch

So some spoiled rotten billionaire's kids decide to drop out and become Amish-lite in some cornfield; geez if you are that hosed up about life, how about some charity work/donations. What a bull shit movie. I want my money back.
