I've fallen in love with Shania Twain!

I don't even like country all that much, but her new song "Forever and Always" just DOES it for me. The last time a country song did that for me was Reba McEntire's "You Lie" about 13 years ago. SOmething about a certain kind of country song turns me into a ball of putty...

16. Well that's funny

cause it always appeared to me that the song was about a self-obsessed guy, not a self-obsessed "bitch." With lyrics like:

"I never knew a guy who carried a mirror in his pocket
And a comb up his sleeve-just in case
And all that extra hold gel in your hair oughtta lock it
'Cause Heaven forbid it should fall outta place . . ."

it seemed pretty clear that she's saying she doesn't want a guy that thinks he's "all that." She doesn't want the flash, she doesn't want a poser, all she wants is a guy who can "keep me warm in the middle of the night." To me it looks like she's telling the guy, you don't need to pretend you're Elvis, just be yourself. Granted, I'm not a huge fan or anything, but it seemed pretty clear to me that she wasn't trying to insult her entire male audience (which I imagine is quite large).

that she moved to Switzerland to get away from them. The station where I work gave me comp tix to see her in concert. Worst show I've ever seen.
