MS Movie Maker question...
I've never used this program before...I find it a little awkward.

Someone sent me a home movie on MPEG. They broke it down into a bunsh of short clips so it would email, and I want to 'sticth' it back togther into ne long clip.

Hos do I do it?

1. You need a file splitter/joiner program

You need a file splitter/joiner program to put the pieces back together. I have no idea if Movie Maker can do that. When they are together, any of the media players can play it.

I only have joined mpegs on my Mac, but I note the abundance of software to do it on the PC:

*Edit*, or maybe I misunderstood ya. Nevermind if so.

2. Hmmm...it looks as if those only join files they split originally...
what can be used to join files which have arrived pre-split?

3. Hmmm. I don't think so.
There's a gazillion files on usenet that are split across platforms that are put successfully together by naughty downloaders every day who don't know what split 'em.

Q: are they files your friend sent split-up like: file.mpg.001, file.mpg.002, file.mpg.003 etc? Those are what I'm thinking of when I mention joining files.

Or are all the clips individually playable? Then that's different.
