Keyboard question.
Sometimes when I type the letters q, a, or z on my keyboard it will go spastic and type out gibberish behind those three letters such as:
aaaaaa#%$@%@#
What could be causing the problem? I've done virus scans, run spybot, rebooted all to no avail. Then as mysteriously as it appeared it goes away. How do I fix this? A million thanks.

1. When was the last time you cleaned your keyboard?
Friend of mine had some sort of bio-mass in his. When he hit certain keys, the mass would be pressed down and hit other keys.

2. yup
try to take the keyboard apart and shake out all the gunk. Those canned air thingies are good, too.

3. What you do is take off all the keys and clean it with
isopropal alcohol. Use q-tips!

5. I used to clean keyboards...
and worried about losing some of those teensy little screws, springs and other gizmos. Watch out for jumping cats!

Had to remember just where the " ` " key went, along with the 149 others I should know where they go.

Put it back together and find out two days later the numlock and right ALT key don't work. Agonize over all those teensy screws again.

Tried throwing them in the diswaher, and some can handle it. Some can't.

Found out a long time ago you can buy new keyboards for 10 bucks and under if you don't want volume controls and other stuff on them.
