What's for supper?
Edited on Mon Aug-02-04 06:47 PM by Cuban_Liberal
We're having:

--fried chicken
--green beans
--fried okra
--new potatoes w/butter
--Bibb lettuce salad w/radishes, onions and carrots
--sliced tomatoes
--fresh, sliced peaches
--sweet corn
--fresh cantaloupe

Everything except the chicken and the peaches are from our garden.

:D

4. We do, too.
We have a fairly substantial garden, and we freeze and give away a lot of stuff we can't eat when it's ripe.

:D

3. FAR yummier than mine. I had a pint of Ben and Jerry's chocolate yogurt.
It's too freaking hot in my apartment to make anything. I'm not hungry, anyway. :-)

5. No kids this week so it is out to dinner tonight and tomorrow
Tonight - Chinese food! Tomorrow, I don't know, but we will go to a movie too -- which one "The Village" or "The Manchurian Candidate"?

6. Hubby is cooking...
He always cooks, he's better at it than I am.

We're having black bean cakes with fresh guacamole and a lime cream sauce. Very tasty - this is the second time he's made these. Recipe from Emeril, of course. ;-)

a lam burger with grilled red peppers and a Blanche for dessert.
Yummy.

I do envy you your garden. Living downtown I consider myself lucky to manage a few herbs.

20. Grilled chicken breast, and steamed veggies w/cheese sauce
It's like the Atkins' diet, only not as high in the bad fat categories and includes yummy nummy veggies!

Down to 213 as well (would be less but I ate a lot of fast food at a seminar last week). 20 pounds to go...

24. A lovely meal at Ristorante Bartolotta.
Antipasto of mixed cured meats, with olives and parmagianno-reggiano...
Gnocchi with wild mushrooms...
And a veal chop with roasted vegetables and fried artichokes.

All washed down with a beautiful 1998 Rosso di Montelpuciano d'Abruzzo.
