2. Grape seed oil
It burns at a much higher temp and is a bit better for you. We like the flavor too.

when I'm stir frying, I mix a little sesame oil with a little canola oil. It tastes great! :-)

8. My grandfather fried chicken for years...
and only used peanut. Of course, canola wasn't around much when he started (he was born in 1907, died 1998). He fried chicken for countless fundraisers, masonic events, etc. <Sigh> I know it is bad for you, but I would give anything to taste his chicken again!

a pork chop in a skillet? butter. popcorn? corn oil. french fries in a skillet? olive.
that is the extent of my frying.
