I am made of foolishness and humanity, apparently.
It's been months now, I'm moving on, but somehow some little thing manages to get me all riled up and ticked off at myself at being fooled about the ex and her affair.

Some little thing.... tactical note to philandering ladies at home and abroad: for the love of Pete, get yourself a new email address, and stop using the shared one to get hotel and flight confirmations sent to you. They put both of yer names on those things, and those of us who spent a great deal of effort trying to ignore the less obvious signs will find it quite hard indeed to overlook stuff like that and pretend maybe you weren't fooling around. :eyes:

Reflection is the name of the game. I begin with "What kind of idiot would cheat on a wonderful guy like me?" and quickly sink into "What kind of idiot would marry an idiot who would cheat on a wonderful guy like me?" :D See, if you do it all right, you can still manage to make anything your own fault.

Ah, well. My post-matrimonial therapy program is working out nicely. I've even learned to ride a motorcycle. ;)

But again, if you're off to fool around, re-read the 2nd paragraph. Not the shrewdest of moves. :P

1. Maybe she WANTED to get caught!
A-ha!

A motorcycle, huh? Soon you'll be on American Chopper getting the Teutels to design the "dingbat bike". :D

4. I know, can you believe it?
A dirt bike, actually. And the knockout that's teaching me is a ton of fun.

Next step, a Camaro. Then some gold chains. If only I were balding, I'd get a bad rug. :silly:

5. Hey - I got a Mustang you might be interested in.
1986 GT - 45,000 original miles. It hauls ass! :D

Of COURSE a woman is teaching you to ride. I bet you volunteer to stay after class, too.

6. Maybe "teaching" is overstating things...
"Here's the gas shutoff, neutral is down here, this is the brake. OK, meet you on top of the mesa!" :D

GT, hmm? Gots fuzzy dice?

7. Sure!
You should see the interior. It's damn-near perfect. Owned by a fellow DUer, and stored in my driveway. If you don't buy it, someone like me might have to.

8. Sounds nice
...but remember I live in "snow measured by feet"-land. Still gotta remain somewhat practical.

Maybe I'll get an old Land Rover. Or a Hummer. That'd make me uber-popular round here! I can see it now... "I just saw a DU sticker on a Hummer!!! WTF?!?!" :D

Buy an old Toyota 4x4 pickup for the winter (and for hauling crap). Then tear ass in the Mustang in the summer! :D

2. Affairs are for people too chicken to deal with their problems.
Edited on Tue Aug-03-04 08:21 AM by SarahBelle
I know because I was almost one of them...almost. (Fortunately, I tend to be attracted to decent, ethical men who know their own limitations and don't go around randomly using vulnerable women no matter what kind of chemistry is involved.) So then, I decided to deal with my problems...still not so sure as to how it should end, but getting there. I got it from the other end years ago of which over the years I've gotten, "No, I didn't." to "Can't you forgive me for that already?" back to "No, I didn't."
Not sure I can live with never knowing...pretty sure I can't when other things are thrown into the mix. At least when you know for sure, you know what you're dealing with. Not that anything's easy when it comes to that, but you know what I'm saying.

3. If there's one unwritten rule of certainty in this world that is ...
otherwise governed by the laws of physics, that is:

What comes around, goes around.

She'll get hers.

"Just Desserts" ... it's not just for breakfast anymore!

9. i was going to rib you
w/ a dingbat reference, till i read your post.

most of us have had similar incidences. it hurts.

robb, do NOT blame yourself. apparently you comported yourself honorably; hence, she owns the burden of guilt.

cycle was a good choice. nothing like freedom to clarify the joys of freedom.

hit some protest rallies; there's some great demfems looking for a guy like you.

best of luck.

11. rib away!
I'm fine with the ribbing... besides, for the proper use of the word "comported", you've earned a free shot or two. ;)

12. Thankfully.. you didn't waste too many of your primo years..
Of course I am assuming you're still in your primo years

I'm guilty of falling into the same trap many times because I believed he changed. :eyes: I wasted too much time on that guy.. it was like everytime he saw I was moving on to someone else he'd come back around - the old "I don't want you but no one else can have you" crappola. You're rigth in moving on and not looking back.

Sounds like you're doing very well and getting on with your life. Keep on truckin..
