I have to admit. I saw the first of the trilogy, and wasn't too impressed. I didn't see the second one, but have read a lot about it, and it seems to be quite a masterpiece according to many.

..I forget. I bought both LOTR 1 and 2 extended versions, loved them both...enjoyed the ROTK, but waiting to buy the extended version, 50 extra minutes worked into the film

I nearly got thrown out of the theater for laughing at the first movie. (My mother of all people was egging me on). Saw 40 minutes of the second film before giving up.

So predictable, so taking-itself-too-seriously. Just my opinion.
