Is today a cat holiday?

My oldest guy, Punk, seems to have a regular job, although I have no idea what it is. But he takes off in the morning and comes back in the evenings, and then tries to tell me about his day.

But today, he's here on the couch with me. Was he fired? Or is it some cat holiday? St. Morris' Day?

8. I don't know about today, but Thursdays are board meeting day

for all the neighborhoos cats. They hold their meeting on my front porch. Sometime I expect to see that they will have ordered coffee and donuts.

But he's still nocturnal. He's all over the place.
Somehow he can hear it when my bare feet first touch the carpeted floor in the morning and he's instantly in here telling me all about the night's happenings.

I got one of those new Japanese cat-human language translators for my birthday. This morning Ace said:

hey, hey, HEY! trof, mah man! How ya doin' buddy? How ya doin'? Rise and shine. Up and at 'em, boy. Let's go, let's go.
