The Daily Show's Steve Carell is....The New Maxwell Smart!
After appearing as one of the guys in ANCHORMAN: THE LEGEND OF RON BURGUNDY, actor Steve Carell has now closed a deal that will see him play the lead role in a GET SMART feature film. Carell will take over the role of CONTROL Agent Maxwell Smart (also known as Agent 86), a role first made famous when Don Adams played the bumbling secret agent character on the television series for five seasons. The film is in development at Warner Bros.

1. Perfect casting, I am so glad to see our Daily Show alumni getting work.
I hope that Carell gets ass loads of cash.

3. Agreed.
Nobody does "appears smart but is actually clueless" better than Steve. He'll nail it. Good for him.

4. Agreed with both of you
And, I might add, that this is the first remake news I've heard in ages that even interests me from the start. I have to admit that I'm a bit interested in seeing Steve Martin in the Pink Panther, but Carell is at the start of his film career, so it's likely that we'll be more surprised by his acting than we would be by an established actor.

2. Why does Jon Stewart not replay parts of Tina Browns interview of Dr Frank
Topic A with Tina Brown reran the July 4 Dr Frank interview this week
on CNBC - It was a good show - he is quite reasonable.

Why does the media refuse to ask for Bush's medical records?

Why does Jon Stewart not replay parts of Tina Brown's interview of Dr Frank? IS BUSH CRAZY - the question needs to be asked on the Daily show.

:-)

I'm riffing through all seven of George Carlin's 'words you can't say'. (shitpissfuckcuntcocksuckermotherfuckertits)

Terrible terrible idea. Anyone remember "The Nude Bomb"? Me neither. Some things should just be left alone.

"At long last, have you left no sense of decency?"
