2. Would you go see the Carrie Nations if they played in your town?
Or would you simply say "This is my happening and it freaks me out!"

4. How ironic. I was just looking at a book about Russ Meyer the maker
of that film. Clips from it are in it. I bought a book about him because a former neighbor wrote it.

7. Russ Meyer loved dizzy fleshpots.
Or is that fleshy despots?

No matter. This is a point at which he and I agree.

11. Yah the book is called "Lips Hips Tits Power the films of Russ Meyer"
At first glance would appear to be pornographic. It's really about what makes Meyer tick. Much more to films than I ever thought about.

13. Yes.
In addition to the lips, hips, and tits, his movies also tend to feature comic violence. ;)

5. Hilariously bad, wasn't it?
I saw it at a campus movie theater about a decade ago. My friends and I ended up giving it the Mystery Science Theater 3000 treatment, and nobody asked us to shut up--not even the ushers!

12. Who played the bartender?
Alert -- I knew him. Also slightly acquainted with Ebert years ago through a mutual friend. I've actually played poker with Ebert.

He was a newspaper reporter in Chicago at the time and a drinking buddy of Ebert's.
