How much do you look like your avatar?

I just realized that I recognize at least ten people entirely based on the pictures of cats in their sig lines or avatars.

Is Dookus really orange? Does ETAwful have flyaway white hair?

I once mistook a poster for John Lennon.

Does anyone else wonder these things? And for the guilty parties, how much do you actually look like your avatar?

(I don't really look like a donkey- but early in the morning, I sound like one.)

I also start alot of threads on race relations as it is something near and dear to me. The anonimity of the forum lets me argue for the black side of the race debate without someone saying "but you're white" and dismissing me.

We're all descendents of black people, though :)

Then they photoshopped it to remove the background to use as an

When DU allowed us to upload our own avatars,
I grabbed that and shrank it to the specified size
and have been using it ever since.

smile every time he sees a no right turn, or a left "one way" sign, it seems to fit me well. And some (read: few) people would describe me as a stick in the mud, or occasionaally stuck up, so a sign seems fitting.

And yes, when people change their avatars I don't reckonize them when scrolling through threads.
