That really brought back some memories.

I know that this nation had a rough time back then (Vietnam, energy crises, civil strife, Watergate, etc...) but it still seemed that the youth of the era managed to have a lot of good, clean fun. That spirit of good will and--for lack of a better word--faith seem to be gone now, replaced almost entirely by ennui and cynicism. It is like a death, and it has made me sad.
