Not going to the Edwards rally today. Grr...

I will never trust another weather foracast to make my plans. My husband was planning on leaving early so we could head out after work. Well, last night, the local news said it would be 98 degrees with heat index 115+ and bad air quality. We decided we didn't want to take the babies out in that weather, so he went into work later today. Well, the highest it's going to get today is 90, and is still only in the 80s. He can't leave for work early, now because plans changed.

Dammit, I really wanted to go. It would have been my first rally.

The tickets say you aren't allowed to bring bags, umbrellas or signs for security, so I figure they might frown on strollers, too. Both of us could have handled one kid each, but except for short excursions, it's very hard to handle both at the same time at this age with no stroller. Alex likes to take off, and I don't want him to get lost in a huge crowd.

but try the Dem headquarters. If I got a call like this then I would help you. Many others might also. Sorry you missed the rally.

4. There will be others

I had just found out about it recently, so we didn't plan very far in advance. Hopefully they'll come around again before November, and we'll have time to make babysitting arrangements ahead of time, at least for the baby.
