Fortune Teller Offers To 'Clense Money' For Good Luck - Makes of With $30k
<snip>

Confucius say: Beware the fortune teller who promises to "cleanse" your cash and enhance your destiny.

She just might clean out your life savings and leave you down on your luck.

"Fortune shifter" might be a better way to describe the 63-year-old bleached blonde Hispanic woman who allegedly duped at least seven people out of more than $30,000 in Bluffton last month.

Four women and three men claim a woman they know only as "Guadalupe" convinced each of them to give her thousands of dollars to use in a ceremony that would guarantee them good health, fortune and luck.

But instead of returning the money as promised, "Guadalupe" apparently took her fortune and fled, deputies said.

1. this scam is soooo old
I'm afraid it's getting hard to have any sympathy for the victims unless they suffer from dementia or something. Lord, this one has been around for a verrrry long time.

5. Shit, I'm in the wrong business
A 42-year-old Bluffton woman first gave Guadalupe $2,000 for a karma cleansing but had to cough up $1,000 more on two other occasions.

Anybody need their karma cleansed? I'll do it for half that price. I wonder if the neighbors are home...and if they need their karma washed and pressed?
