What kind of alcohol do I put in pina coladas? I have a family reunion with a lot of R relatives this weekend and want to make a slush recipe that I tried a few years ago but in light of the company I'll need to add some alcohol this time. I'm guessing that it is rum.

Not a bartender, but PC's are made with rum. In addition, add some Southern Comfort, they won't taste it but will get them drunk on their ass and will allow them to speak freely about their true feelings for the chimp.

7. Yes, it's rum. Here's a blender tip for you -

fill the blender about halfway with ice. Add the rum and some of the pina mix, BUT, add less liquid than you think you'll need. The worst thing about blender drinks is making them too watery. Once you get a consistency that will move well in the blender, add some more ice, then more mix. Once you've done this process only a couple of times, you'll have a good feel for how much ice vs liquid you need to make up a blender full in one shot.
