There's one group of conspiracy theories that the Illuminati created America to usher in a new world order--including the suggestion that George Washington was killed a replaced by his German doppelganger, Baron Weishaupt.

An even nuttier theory is that the country's founders were all Christians and wanted to create a Christian nation.

NASA one for sure, thats a goofy one but the most recent goofiness was that one of the planes that hit the twin towers was supposedly armed with missiles. Man thats goofiness at its finest.

7. Any of the myriad of theories on DU's 9/11 Forum...

1) The planes that flew into the WTC towers fired missiles first to guarantee they'd actually penetrate the buildings.

2) Those planes were actually "replacements". The real planes were diverted to a secret military airbase where the passengers and crew were unloaded, all put on UAL93, and shot down over PA. The planes were then flown over the ocean and ditched.

3) These same planes also had "fuel sprayers" that sprayed atomized fuel just before the crashes to make the explosions more "Hollywoodesque".

4) An F-16 caused the Pentagon damage. AAL77 was there, but flew OVER the Pentagon and landed at Reagan Airport.

5) The United jets that crashed on 9/11 didn't really crash and are still flying, as evidenced by the FAA Registration Database. (The FAA doesn't remove planes from the database unless the registration holder files paperwork...United obviously hasn't done so).

6) Todd Beamer (of "Let's Roll" fame) never really existed because he's not in the Social Security database (which has a disclaimer that their records may not be accurate or complete).

There are plenty more there. I'd suggest everybody check it out, for a grin or two if for no other reason.

11. About your first one

I never heard the missile theory before, but I was watching the video of the first plane hitting one time and caught something strange on it. At first it looked like something hit the building right below the plane just before the plane hit. I showed it to some people who saw the same thing. I found this clip here, check it out and see if you see something that flashes before the plane hits. I'm not saying it is a missile, but I wonder what it is.

glass shattering from the air/sound pressure or more likely the sun reflecting off of the plane & window into the camera lens. Light into cameras play very funny tricks sometimes - they don't always show reality to a T.

22. There are two versions of the video. One has been "enhanced".

That's not a wild claim, it's admitted by both sides. The CTists say that the "enhancement" just makes the flash that was already there clearer (or, alternately, they claim that the non-flash version was "edited" by the FBI).

I just read the thread about the shadows on the plane being the pod and the spray being quite visible - "it's there, you just have to want to see it."

just to see what was being said. I know that most people don't really have any knowledge of the intricacies of what we do, but I was amazed at all of the blatant misconceptions so I started posting.

Now, I can't seem to leave. It's incredible what theories some people can cook up when they start with false premises.

"The men who killed Kennedy" made a good argument for the Government taking out JFK.

Plus the movie JFK was quite compelling also. On top of that the the assassination committee of the late 1970's report that suggests that the audio take clearly had a 4th shot in it.
Its hard to ignore the evidence that LHO was not thew lone gunmen.
