1. 29 Days Later
Edited on Thu Aug-05-04 08:38 AM by Beware the Beast Man
Though I don't think they'd soil their reputation by doing a sequel.

ON EDIT- oh, these are real? sheesh!

3. Yep
And yes, they are doing a sequel to "29 Days Later". No joke. I think it's called "29 months later". Once again, no joke.

7. "Land of the Dead" should be fun
It's going to be about gated communities this time. The rich who have survived are all walled up in gated communities while the poor have to survive outside on their own. Needless to say, the rich fuck things up for everyone and cause the situation to get even worse.

2. Zomby and the Svelte Hotties with Nose Rings
I understand they're having trouble with the film rating board, but once that's all taken care of it should be an awesome flick. :D

33. Yeah. We need some leniency for this film.
Zomby insisted on doing all the nude scenes himself, without a body double.

Trouble is, there were no nude scenes in the script. :o

9. Don't you mean
The Devil's Rejects?

As much as I had troubles with the first film, I still enjoyed it and look forward to seeing "The Family" on the road.

13. Is that the title of the new film?
I loved the first one, personally. It was an interesting take on Texas Chainsaw Massacre idea, having the family get to know the victims before they kill them. It definitely added a different flavor to it. It did feel a bit too much like a music video, but that didn't bother me enough not to like it.

14. Yep, that's the title
You know at the start of "1000" when they show the police raiding the place? That's the start of the next film. The Family has to take it to the road. Rob has said this one will be like Alien 2 was to the first Alien film.

My problem with the first one is that it ignored one of the primary rules of 70's horror which it was honoring--1 victim has to get some measure of revenge to make the audience feel satisfied. She could have died in the end, but she didn't even get to take out anything on anyone, so it left me feeling a bit...empty?

16. Ahh, see, I guess that's where we differ
I've always hated that "measure of revenge" rule. It seems contrived to me, and not all that likely. Just my opinion though.

***********Spoilers***************************

Like in the Texas Chainsaw Massacre remake that was done last year, the part at the end where the girl runs over R Lee Ermey repeatedly seems like utter bullshit to me. For all intents and purposes, the girl should be, well, like the girl who almost escaped from House of 1000 Corpses - nearly dead from shock alone. Again, that's just my opinion, and I'm probably wrong.

20. That was my only problem with the film
Otherwise, it was a great take-off on the old hard-core 70's horror films.

You didn't like the R Lee scene either? See, my mom and I have had this conversation before--if you ever get in a "horror" situation and you've just hurt and possibly killed someone who has been after you, you better make damn sure that they're dead dead dead. I'd remember that no matter what I've just gone through.

But then again, most of these characters have had to never seen horror films or they'd never be in the situation(s) that they're in.

25. I don't disagree with your "dead dead dead" theory
Sitting here and talking about it, I'd want to do that too.

I just don't think most people would even have the presence of mind to do anything but get the hell out of there, probably crawling. I don't know about you, but most people would probably pass out after seeing their boyfriend have a drill shoved through his brain, that is, if getting put into a coffin and lowered into a pit of zombies didn't do it already.

26. Ahhh...you have to look death in the face and laugh
My one claim to fame (in my own mind ;-) ) is that I talked a LA gang banger out of shooting me because I went "crazy white man" on him. He had a gun to my head and I convinced him that I didn't give a fuck. I told him to kill me repeatedly. Over and over. Freaked the guy out so much he backed down.

By the way, I also have plans about how to escape my house should killers ever come in.

I DO watch a lot of horror films; I'm not "out there". I'm just prepared. ;-)

Naw, I hear ya completely. I'd want to do the same, and have thought the same way you do, with plans in my head for muggings, home robberies, and everything in between. Not coincidentally, I also watch a lot of horror flicks. What's your favorite?

29. It helped at the time that I really didn't care
You can't scare someone who wants to die, as I did at that time in my life. Now that I have a reason to live...well...things might go down differently.

My favorite?

Gods...

There's so many good ones.

Evil Dead 1 (for the shock of seeing something like that for the first time)

Halloween (too real, too close at home)

Hell, fuck this...I'll start a new thread.

Just because I haven't seen it yet. Or Shaun of the Dead. Haven't even heard of that one. I love zombie flicks. Some are so horrible though... but then they're fun to mock. :)

I haven't looked at it that much, but there's a scene in the film where they're killing zombies by throwing records into their heads. It's freaking funny!

Not sure how it will suit American tastes but I thought it was hilarious. I won't post any spoilers but it has elements of social satire that are just classic.

The makers of Shawn have been invited to be zombies in Romero's new film. Romero paid them the compliment of saying it was the best zombie film he's seen (outside his own, of course ;-) ).

28. Please clarify the question. Does it mean...
"Which zombie film do I want to see most (often)?" (Which zombie film do I want to see repeatedly ... or "most"?)

or

"Which zombie film to I most want to see?" (Which zombie film am I most desirous to see for the first time?)
