1. Never been a big fan, myself...
I think I was the only girl in school in the 80's who wasn't passionately in love with him. Hated his music. However, after yesterday I have a newfound respect for him. Way to go Bruce!

4. I'm with you - hate the music, like the stance.
I've never, ever, ever understood the appeal. People here have tried to explain it to me - some quite rudely (I've got all of two people on ignore, one is an abusive Springsteen fan) - but it's never sunk in. Sort of like Harry Potter and Shrek.

6. I didn't understand his appeal at first, & people told me to see him live
So I did. And I understood.

2. Mine have never been put away
I listened to Greetings from Asbury Park and Darkness On the Edge of Town just last week.

Springsteen's CDs get a regular rotation at my house.

5. Born to Run...still the best....one of the most perfect albums.
This has to be one of the very best albums of the 1970s...i rank it up there with Pretzel Logic and the Clahses "Green Album".

Bruce also has done one of my all-time favorite political songs...

Youngstown.
