How I ended up naked hiding behind the kitchen counter

The boys are in bed for their nap, so I decide to take a shower. Right before I turn the water on and get in, I remember that I'd used the toaster, and couldn't remember if it ever popped (it's been that kind of day). So, I run out to the kitchen real quick to check it. It's fine.

Then, the doorbell rings.

I can't run back to the bathroom, because I'd have to walk in front of the front door, which has two long, narrow windows on either side of it the length of the door. My kitchen is open, and you can see it from the front door. So, I had to duck behind the counter and wait until whoever it was gave up and left.
