Petting Zoo Rabies - Fossil Rim park near Fort Worth TX
Sorry if I posted this in the wrong place. This is my first time to post an article. I just saw it and wanted to post it in case anyone has visited the place. It's scary to think about all those kids that might have been taken there.

Rabies warning issued for Texas zoo visitors
The Oklahoman

Oklahomans who visited a children's petting zoo southwest of the Dallas-Ft. Worth metro area from July 10 through July 30 were warned today that they may have been exposed to rabies.

A Barbado sheep tested positive for rabies at the Children's Animal Center at the Fossil Rim Wildlife Center near Glen Rose, Texas, health officials said.

Fossil Rim is 55 miles southwest of Fort Worth and 75 miles southwest of Dallas. The children's animal center is in a large barn at an overlook that is half-way through a wildlife drive.

...

To pinpoint if you may have been exposed, call Dr. James Wright at the Texas Department of Health regional office in Arlington, Texas, 817-264-4920, or the Oklahoma Health Department in Oklahoma City, 405-271-4060.

1. I work in the ER of one of Fort Worths largest
hospitals. We have already had numerous patients come in to begin the series.

Whole families coming in together.

2. Petting Zoo Rabies was the name of my band!
It was an Oingo Boingo tribute band.

4. Darn, I was there about 5 years ago
I guess I'm past the incubation period?

Actually, it's a very cool place. For $150 a night you can sleep in an air conditioned tent in a fenced in area to keep the wild animals out. The wolves howl up a storm at night.
