I mean geez, talk about feeling left out. All these romances, right and left. And they sure are WEIRD romances, GOSH. Like talking about kitchen counters and hamsters and the Amish is ROMANTIC?

So what do us married DU folk do? Sit around and blink and listen to the crickets outside and the ice melting in our glasses while you single lizards are over there doing God knows what in the corner? Hmmm? Pretend we just don't SEE you, GOSH??

By the way, did the single DUers set up a singles forum or something? That's neat. I've never met anyone who actually admitted to hooking up online; perhaps at my age, I just missed that whole scene.

7. I hooked up on-line with my Brazilian girlfriend.

We've been together 4 years now, though I had to return to the USA this year to finish school. My 73 yr old father hooked up on-line too. He leaves tomorrow to visit his girlfriend in Canada.

please, please, kill that phrase and bury it forever.
"Hooking up." One of the ugliest American phrases ever invented.
It sounds like something you do to cattle.
Just call it romance, or love affairs, or boffing or shagging or dating or courting or f---ing or anything else, anything other than "hooking up."
Maybe it's because I fish a lot and hooks remind of something very sharp and nasty, not something I want on sensitive parts of the body...or something technological...it's just an ugly phrase...

Sit on the back porch with a few neighbors, sip some cold ones, talk about what a Rat "W" is, and discuss plans on how to convert the soulless couple down the block with a Bush/Cheney sign in their yard.
