So if some women were at my house for a 3AM pee....
Edited on Fri Aug-06-04 12:17 PM by BiggJawn
And they sat down and pissed on the closed lid, would it STILL be MY fault?

No? Because they check to see if the lid is down?

Then why can't they check to see if the seat is down?

Could it be because they'd have nothing to denigrate men over?

Or is that why I'm alone all the time, because I leave the lid down and that's common knowledge thoughout "The Sisterhood"?
"Oh, don't stay the night with him, unless you LIKE pissing on toilet lids. He NEVER leaves it up!" "Ewwwww.....Next you'll be telling me he actually stops and asks directions!" "No, I didn't say he was JESUS..."

1. People need to take responsibility for where they put their asses
Edited on Fri Aug-06-04 12:19 PM by JVS
It's nobody else's job to make sure your ass stays dry. It's part of being an adult to be able to handle it yourself

2. I'm female - I always leave the lid down -
just makes sense to me and it's more aesthetically pleasing. Well, as aesthetically pleasing as a toilet can be.

12. I never need to pee at 3:00 am...it's not about a late night surprise...
it just looks awful. I agree seat and lid should be down.

3. All these years and you *still* haven't learned
It's always your fault. ;-)

Seriously, I don't care. Having grown up with four brothers, I quickly learned to look before I sit. Not only was the up or down thing an issue, my younger sibs wouldn't even bother with the seat at all and were notorious dribblers. Eeeeeew!!! :puke:

I was just riffing off somebody else's thread. I think the argument can go either way and it is up to the occupants of the house to reach a consensus.

Here's my thread about it in case you missed it:

As far as Brevet, I may be crazy, but I'm not insane. :-) It's going to be a beautiful weekend for riding and I'm already planning a few more century rides to finish out the season.

Aug 28. I figure if I survive the Kal-Haven trail the week before, I should be OK.

I train on the roads that 40 miles of the route goes over, so I know how to handle them.

Caught a 18 MPH tailwind last night and hit almost 29 on the flats...WooHoo!

Enjoyed the pix, I forgot to tell you!

4. Did you know if you don't put the lid
down (not just the seat), the fine spray from the toilet flushing spreads everything within a 6 foot area? That means that the contents of the toilet are spreading out all over the bathroom, too. At least if you put down the lid and seat, you prevent some of this fine spray all over your bathroom.

16. But what about when I'm drunk?
And pee in the lavatory?

Nice thing about living alone, at least I know who's pee's on my toothbrush.

And that's why it lives behind a closed cabinet door....

5. If I leave one of the upper kitchen cabinet doors open and you hit
your head really hard (I am not as tall as you guys so I wouldn't get hurt by it)...

...will it still be my fault? Why can't YOU close it or pay more attention? Why should I care if you are inconvenienced or hurt by it?

9. with the economy so bad we should find enough unemployed to serve us for
less than minimum wage...

Isn't that what Bush's wealthy friends are doing? They are getting that fat tax break so they can hire more maids...

14. Hey tough guy...it has nothing to do with the toilet seat
it has everything to do with thoughtfulness.

If I am generous, kind and altruistic enough to be at your house at 3 AM...you damn well better put the seat down for me, MR Rocketship  :spank:

Hell, even *I* don't pee in the shower....
I'm shedding. Have to pull the hair-ball out of the strainer, and I prefer it not pee-soaked....

21. haha.. I don't get the big deal about this issue...
men shouldn't piss on the seat and women should double check before sitting down.

what's the big deal?

I'd rather put the seat down than have to clean a seat that's been hit.
