1. That certainly doesn't look good

I just redid my retirement fund portfolio and dumped some of my worst losers, but it seems like they're ALL losers this week.

I'm stuck in a managed fund portfolio to get pretax benefits, but even the bond funds suck. The interest rates at the bank suck as well. Where does a teensy-weensy investor like me even put their money these days?

Buy the ones that come due in October, and if things turn around you can sell them and pick up some call options for November. Pick some more volatile, but heavily traded stocks to buy options in, & they'll nearly always hop around enough that you can make some bucks from the options.
