it's an online streaming radio from Yahoo.

You pay 35 bucks a year for premium. You effectively set up your own radio station by rating songs, albums, artists, genres, etc. and it streams all sorts of music to your 'puter. If you don't like a song, you can skip it, and even rate it to not play again.

They also have well over a hundred "stations" you can listen to (every genre and subgenre imaginable). You can listen to 'em and then rate what you like. It's all done with just a single click.

The more you rate, the more likely the music you like will be played. But it's not JUST songs on your playlist, so you get new, unfamiliar music, too.

They also have music videos, all sorts of information about the current song/artist/album, etc.

It's really really cool. I got it this week and I'm just hooked on it.

15. Two free downloads: Winamp and Streamripper

Winamp has tons of radio stations that broadcast at 128mbps. Find the one you like, copy the ip from the File Info menu item and paste it into Streamripper.

Free internet radio---->downloaded MP3s. Have fun.

I'm just blown away by how well it's designed and implemented. Seriously, I've worked in software development for 20 years and this is one of the very best programs I've ever seen.

I use Live365.com for my streaming, and other then the doubletalk by the suits there that rivals W's gang, it's been pretty good to me. I'll give a look to Launchcast....
