Does anybody know how to remove Hotbar files?
I have a dozen and a half on my computer and I can't remove them with Norton nor with the Add/Remove program. From what I've gathered, they're files that send information of my internet habits to parts unknown. Sounds like a good thing to remove.

1. Have you tried Ad-aware?
It removes all that kind of crap.

2. No. Have not.
I get all kinds of offers for all sorts of things, but I wouldn't know how to tell the difference between a beneficial program and a Trojan Horse.

4. AdAware and SpyBot are both good
Good luck with it. There are also webpages that will look at your log files and help you clean them up. Let me know if you want more info about that, I have a friend who works on them.

5. Thanks everyone.
I'll try AdAware first. It should be enough since my viewing habits are a snore. Unless you consider DU as walking on the wild side, which in my neighorhood, it is!

8. Is the program actually called spyassassin?
I went to adaware.com, but the program I downloaded was spyassassin.
