Why are my Sims so unhappy?

My Sims are so unhappy.

I don't know what to do.

1. raise the minimum wage

and give 'em foot massages.

2. Make sure all their votes count.

3. Move them out of the deep south

and into a liberal city like San Fran

4. Don't let them watch US news shows anymore.

I know it sure makes me unhappy.

5. Seriously ya'll....

I got them the nice bookshelf... the expensive bed, expresso machine, food processor and the nice couch, the excercise machine...chess set....pink flamingos in the yard and lava lamps around the house

And still their mood is bad..

I guess I gotta get the hot tub so their social interactions get better...

seriously, animal crossing is much more fun because you're always havin' a good time, unless you get attacked by bees. the the others will make fun of you. if it had more detail, i'd be amazing.
