Political Pop Music Trivia Quiz
In honor of Don Henley recently defending Linda Ronstadt onstage in Orange County, CA to a few boos and catcalls, does anyone remember where the Eagles (as a band) got their start?

1. there's a band name of the Stone Ponies in their past, and Linda
sang with them. That's all I know.

Actually, I should give it to you after all.

They were her backing band. They all came together behind her and realized they had something bigger than just "Linda Ronstadt's backup band." She gave them her blessing and they left to become the Eagles. She was out a band. And Griel Marcus had something to bitch about, not to mention Tom Waits, who said listening to the Eagles was like watching paint dry. Marcus very publicly tore them a new asshole. But he's a dick anyway, so what did anyone expect?
