Question regarding divulging personal info on this site

Is it appropriate/safe to divulge information here, such as a link to a personal website as a tagline, on DU?

6. Here's my decision

I've got my blog in my sig file. Doesn't mean much, as the blog won't give much help.

But I have published an article, on another site, using my real name. And I wasn't shy about telling people here and elsewhere that I had published that.

The reason? I'm not concerned at all. First, I don't have a job (I'm disabled), so I can't potentially be fired.

Second, I don't really care about stalkers. It wouldn't take that much detective work to figure out, within a few miles, where I live. But finding me after that? Best of luck.

And if someone does find me, what are they going to do? I'm a little fish in a great big ocean of people to be stalked.

7. Here's what I did...

...My name is EASILY available, and I'm generally pretty abrasive in my opinions/statements. But I don't worry. You know why? I have a very close personal relationship Mr. Simonov and some of his friends. 'Nuff said? :-)

9. I've been pretty free with personal info here...

...for the last couple of years. Of course, none of my politics or my other advocacy/activism efforts are hidden or would get me into trouble in my own community, so I don't really have anything to hide here. Knowing who and where I am has led to a few PM's requesting info about my neck of the woods, but nothing else that I'm aware of. The black van that's always parked across the street probably doesn't have anything to do with me....

11. It an individual choice

I get enough hate mail at home with my yard signs,
bumperstickers, and my LTTE's that I prefer to keep
it local and not link to my articles with my full name .
