DU Runners: Here's how you can "RUN AGAINST BUSH"

A guy I know here in DC helped start the organization Run Against Bush earlier this year. I'm not a runner, but I promised to help him out and give him some free visibility here on DU. All indications are that Run Against Bush has been a huge success. I always see people running around in DC in their T-shirts.

They have more than 7,000 members, and they've raised more than $200,000 to help elect the Kerry-Edwards ticket.

If you're a runner, you should check it out. This is a great way to run *and* help defeat Bush in 2004. If you're not a runner, you can sponsor a DUer who is running!

Run Against Bush is a grassroots campaign dedicated to defeating George W. Bush in 2004. Concerned citizens all across the country are raising awareness and money by wearing t-shirts that proclaim "Run Against Bush" as they run, jog, walk, bike, volunteer, etc.

Our efforts and all proceeds will be devoted to supporting John Kerry in this mission.

It's easy to get involved, just join to get your t-shirt and go be active while wearing it.

"coolmax" and can't ship one until August 25. I'll get whichever one they do have in stock but it's not clear which one that is.

but if I ran with a "Run Against Bush" shirt in my area I am not sure I would make it back home. Seriously though I will check it out and see if there are events in Dallas. In fact, I am leaving for a 5 mile run right now...Later on.

Edit: Closest one is in Houston. I have some in-laws down there, freepers, but they are family. I wonder if they would mind me visiting while run down there?
