College entrance Essay writing help needed

I have to write a 300 word Essay in order to get into Art College so that I can finish my degree. I have no idea what to write and I can't remember how to write an essay....duhh!

3. Don't try to bullshit, and don't use cliches...

Both stink from a mile away, and the committee reading the essays will be able to spot it.

And here is a cliche' but the best advice I can give. Write from your heart.

4. Just one technique to try

Whatever the topic, start out as if it were a point you wanted to get across in a post on DU, or as if your friend asked you to explain it to him/her. Spit out all your thoughts without worrying about their sounding polished or even being coherent. Once you've done that, you should have lots of material to organize and refine into a few paragraphs. 300 words is not a lot--this paragraph alone is over 75!
