And I say that as a part time children's entertainer.

I'm sure that there were a lot of clowns that were upset with it, but when you think about it, you could take the base story - a guy overcoming his addiction to alcohol - and give it to any societal segment and make a movie. This time, it just happened to be about clowns, and they focused on them and made jokes about their little societal niche.

Plus they liked to beat the shit out of mimes!

3. Clowns are evil creatures. I have a friend who is also convinced...

they are Satan's spawns. He is constantly calling me up and telling that I have to rent this or that clown movie. I have seen enough to know there is something wicked hiding behind those painted smiles.
