One Hour Photo
on HBO Signature right now...

I thought this would be a good, although disturbing movie. I recall not being that impressed.

Your thoughts???

2. That's why I'm re-watching it
Sometimes seeing a movie a second time leaves a totally different impression...

3. Good film
I was really surprised by Robin Williams' performance. He's done so many bad movies, or he'll be in a movie and "do" Robin Williams, but in this film, he gives an effective, creepy performance.

Also, the guy who directed it, Mark Romanek, was the same director of Johnny Cash's music video "Hurt," so he's pretty good.

4. Not bad, but...
... I think it would have been better if they hadn't tried to explain his complex character faults in one scene, borrowing the same simplistic Freudian pop psychology Hollywood always uses to explain the presence of any mental abnormality in any movie ever made.

It's this weird need to explain EVERYTHING in a film which does more harm than good, IMO.

5. Disturbing flick
Had it on in the background, and was pissed off when I realized I missed "Gattaca" on Cinemax.

That was a good, underrated sci-fi flick.
