The PGA nuttiness is starting
The PGA tournamnet starts in a few days, and already a few celebrities have shown up here in Sheboygan.

Celebrity Golfers Show Up Around Sheboygan
Mickelson Leaves Bigger Tip Than Tiger

POSTED: 5:56 pm CDT August 6, 2004

SHEBOYGAN, Wis. -- Who would you expect to be a better tipper -- Tiger Woods or Phil Mickelson?

One Sheboygan waitress found out first hand.

Local restaurants in the Sheboygan area are serving up celebrities with the PGA Championship just days away at Whistling Straits.

Tiger Woods, his fianceé, golfer Mark O'Meara and another man stopped by Luigi's Italian Restaurant in Sheboygan the other night.

2. Tiger is young, and he needs to learn to be
more generous, IMO. Maybe he needs someone to help guide him through these awkward years (you know, having shitloads of money and not enough brains because you are too caught up in yourself or your beautiful girlfriend.)

4. I guess you've never heard of the tiger woods foundation?
he's granted more money to charity than many people can dream of.

6. Yep, and the PGA tour gives a ton to charity every year
despite being mostly fundies. Go to PGAtour.com and you can see how much good they do.

9. Of course I have.
I'm just saying that I think his youthful age still lends a little bit of inexperience in personal generosity versus the wonderful work he does through financial consultants.

3. My Parents
I just left my parent's house in Kohler. They are dreading the concerts in the park....they live less than a block away from the bowl.

It is kind of cool, though. Have y'all heard that Bush Sr. and even perhaps his idiot son are coming to visit Herb Kohler? The HC residence has been having work crews in there around the clock...cleaning up for some special guest. Ick.

5. I met Herb Kohler, once.
When I drove cab, I would drive Herb's mentally challenged brother Freddy around, once when I dropped him off at home, (he lived above Herb's garage,) Herb met me and gave me a $50 tip.

Herb may be a die-hard repub, but in person he's a decent guy.

7. Herb
Can be decent, but having grown up in the village and knowing people who work at the company, he can be a jerk. I guess most CEOs can be.

My mom went to school with Fredrick and he was a decent guy. I remember him always riding his bike through the village and picking up cans. He used to call our house at odd hours just to chat with my mom about old times. He passed away a couple of years ago.

The Kohler family certainly would make an interesting book.
