What should I put in a fire safe?
My wife claims there's webpages that tell you such things, but I can't find them. She suggests our marriage certificate, passports and house papers. Anybody else have any suggestions?

1. Any stock certificates, deeds to anything
I've also heard that it's not a bad idea to put an old driver's license in there so it will be easy to replace it.

2. Matches or lighters.
After the firemen are through everything will be soaked.

5. Fire, of course, contain the fire, save the house
Or, perhaps anything you value. Video tape of the kid's first birthday party, irreplaceable photos, legal documents, your doctorate of divinity by mail diploma, - again, anything small that you value and that can't be replaced.
